Part of a short carbon cycle
Plants absorb carbon dioxide as they grow. Burning their residue releases that carbon back, and next season’s crop takes it up again. Coal releases carbon that has been locked underground for millions of years.
Biomass fuel replaces coal with material that grows back every season, and gives crop residue a better end than open burning.

Residue that has no buyer is often burnt in the field, which pollutes the air around villages. Buying it for fuel gives farmers a reason not to.
Biomass contains far less sulphur than coal, so it produces much less sulphur dioxide when burnt.
Biomass ash contains potassium and other minerals, and is often used as a soil additive.
Raw material is sourced from farms and mills near our plant. The money stays in the region instead of paying for imported coal.
If your company reports on emissions or fuel mix, we can provide purchase quantities and batch lab reports for your records. Ask us when you place an order.
See how biomass performs in your own boiler before you commit to a supply contract.
